There was so much death all around the world yesterday. Some blamed Friday the 13th.
We continue to pray for peace both in Nigeria and all other troubled spots.
We continue to pray for peace both in Nigeria and all other troubled spots.
But as a Christian I hate to remind us that this world is technically supposed to end... and not in a good way...
All these: climate change; terrorism; refugee crisis; wars; earthquakes and tsunamis; they are all pointing us in the same general direction... and it don't look too good. Don't expect any solutions anytime soon.
For example: those expecting Boko Haram to be permanently eradicated... i hate to disappoint you but history does not support such optimism. The best we can hope for is suppression and minimal casualties. And this only if we maintain permanent vigilance.
The irony is that we in naija are more likely to die from malaria and typhoid and childbirth and road accidents than any of these news-worthy cataclysms... at the end all die be die, abi? So weep rather for yourselves and for your children....
In summary; pray and work your hardest for the best; prepare for the worst.
